Nourishing the Heart (Grief)

In person session

This one-hour nurturing session is designed to help you navigate the ongoing journey of grief. Discover and practice simple but intentional compassionate hand movements and mindful breathing that can bring comfort to a tender heart.

Grief impacts us all differently, manifesting in various forms, seasons, and intensities. It affects our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This class provides a compassionate space to explore, navigate, and gently ease some of the weight of grief.

Nourishing the Heart session includes:

  • Gentle breathwork
  • Compassion holds
  • Meditation
  • Journaling (optional)

During the breathwork and meditation practices you are welcome to sit or lie down. While practicing compassion holds move your hands at your own pace or visualize the movements. No prior experience is necessary. 16 years of age or older.

The session will be led by Jill Weston, known for her calm and supportive manner. Jill creates a safe and caring environment for all participants, ensuring everyone feels emotionally secure.

Please note some of the compassion holds are based on the work of Zabie Yamasaki, M.Ed, RYT, and Dr. Peter Levine.

*Depending on the location, mats, blankets and pillows may be offered. Check the scheduled class information for details. It’s important to create a comfortable surface to sit or lay on the floor. Bring a pen and journal or writing material.

Please arrive ten minutes before the session begins. The session begins on time and the door will be locked five minutes before class starts to maintain the flow of the session. Unfortunately, no refunds or class credits for missed sessions.
